In a deeper investigation of darkness, and my physical understanding of its properties, I made a pilgrimage to the northern most tip of Iceland during the darkest days of 2016.  I brought with me one black sheet of satin.  In the few hours of light, I reached the northern tip, 2.5km from the Arctic Circle.  Surprisingly, on those days, I found light.  I found a sky full of movement during "day" and "night."  I found no "noon" and sunrise flowing directly into sunset.   I felt abundant space and gratitude.
